Speech writing is in lots of ways similar writing a paper, apart from that there is no penalty for spelling and punctuation mistakes. You should not try to write words in your speech that you are not relaxed pronouncing or don't know the meaning of because it can lead to a less fluently delivered speech.
To be able to write a high-quality speech is a lot like making a good cake. Having the right elements is key for it's success. Every… Continue

I haven't been blogging much here as I have been overwhelmed with shooting the Off-road Dirt bike scene, but still shooting in the southwest when I get a chance. I recently got back to my hometown and shoot some photos from around town. I've never really shot my hometown as I find it boring. Maybe it's cause I've see it so many times and it's just not interesting to my mind. As with most of the photos I take, no one see or even know they exist. Fortunately, I found and article from a classmate o… Continue

Sorry I haven't gotten time to post a follow-up to my Extreme Action Post. I've been so busy these days, I just haven't had the time to do another post. For Now I thought I would post a quick photo of some Supercross action that I have been doing. This one is from the Indianapolis Show. I'm working on the St. Louis Round, then i'm off to Lake Havasu City, AZ for an ATV WORCS race, back to WI, then to Primm NV for Supermoto. And finally my move back to Arizona to start my new project.… Continue
I saw this story in the News today and was just fascinated at the story and concept these 2 photographers used to create a love story of 2 people, all done with Photography and the technology of Photoshop.

Photos from the International Motorcycle show in Chicago, IL.
Indoor shooting is always a challenge for me so here is how I set up for these types of shoots.
D300, with my 17-55mm f2.8, backup lens 18-200mm Kit Lens. (Never know if you need the longer lens).
ISO 800, No Flash, Aperture Mode set to 2.8. 4G Flash Card. All shot in RAW.
I could take my 70-200mm f2.8 but I just lug it around all day anyways so I don't even bother bringing it.
I don't use flash in these s… Continue

With the Superbowl now over and the Steelers winning the big show. I thought it would be a good time to post some photos that I took last year while I was in Steel City. These were taken around the downtown area, with my D300, and the 18-200mm Kit lens. I had some time to kill while I waited for my trip back to Phoenix, so I just shot a few misc shots around the area. I hope to go back again and spend some time there, I saw so many things that I wanted to get photos of but just not the time.

We sometimes take our beautiful weather here for granted. I have guests for the weekend from Missoula, MT where it was -6 degrees earlier in the week. I occasionally miss the beauty of waking up to fresh powder but not the cold that always accompanies it. Guess I can’t have it both ways, but this weekend I will enjoy the warm weather in the company of good friends. Continue

The closest thing I could find in my archieves football related, since the AZ Cards have actually made the Superbowl thought I would post something. Wish it were more AZ Card releated but it's all I had.
I recently made the trip upto Green Bay WI. I didn't get a lot of shot off in around the area as the temps were -15 and windy. I did manage to get a few shots of the Lambeau Field and a few cat-tails on the actual Green Bay (frozen over of course). I can't wait to get back to AZ better weather.… Continue

I know this isn't the southwest but it looks southwestern. I know there are some great place in AZ that look similar. Such as the Colossal Cave (cameras allowed)in Tucson and the Kartchner Caverns in Benson, AZ (no cameras allowed). I found taking these photos to be quite challenging. First they do not allow tripods, for good reason as it's very tight in many areas. The lighting is very dim as it's in a cave. You are also with several other people and the tour isn't that long about 1hr so you ha… Continue
